A DNA test of uncertain value whose results were displayed on the show El árbol de tu vida stated that Antonio’s genetic ancestry matches to the following countries:
*50% Spain
*20% Italy
*12% Portugal
*11% Jordan
*7% Mexico
Source: Genealogy of Antonio Banderas – https://www.geni.com
He is 11% Jordan and 7% Mexico according to a DNA test. So he DOES have arab genes and apperantly a distant mestizo ancestor. https://www.antena3.com/programas/arbol-vida/antonio-banderas/el-test-de-adn-confirma-la-procedencia-mexicana-de-antonio-banderas_2017032858dae4b00cf2f510fd86b6bf.html
Is that test even accurate? I have never seen one that says you are “7% Mexico” or “11% Jordan.” He should take 23andme, which is legit. He probably has North African DNA like Ariana Grande, but that is typical of Italians and Spaniards.
The large majority of Italians don’t have any North African ancestry, even in the South. If anything there’s some West Asian heritage from Neolithic Farmers who pops out under “Middle Eastern and North Africa” category on 23andMe. In Spain mainly the Galicians have a bit of North African Y-DNA, most likely because there’s were some Moors were relocated after Reconquista and absorbed into the population. On the other hand the Basques have absolutely no North African link.
About 7% Mexico result, the Kingdom of Spain was a huge Colonial power and as a result some people from New World of mixed background has been sent to the motherland all over the centuries, but it’s still complicated to establish a correlation about this case.
Considering how he’s Andalusian, wouldn’t it be likely he has Moorish roots (Amazigh/Berber)?
No because Moors are the ancestors of Morrocons not Spaniards. Also moors were muslim and antonio banderas family is very catholic, so it makes it extremly unlikely. And just FYI Middle Eastern Christians exists one was his ancestor.
Correct the following:
Birth Name: José Antonio Domínguez Bandera
Place of Birth: Málaga, Málaga, Spain
Switch his date of birth to DMY
and maternal grandfather’s last name to Bandera
Add Andalusian as part of his Spanish ancestry.
His father, José Domínguez Prieto, was a police officer. His mother, Ana Bandera Gallego, was a school teacher.
Isabel’s last name is Prieto.
He is a tanned Spanish, so yes, he is white. This is him before tanning:

Yep! Many Latinos are extremely white, they only look black because of the tan. Most Europeans are like that.
Eh depends
Followers of this community are confusing Color with Race. If someone is born White will always be White, regardless of the color of the Tan or the Place that was born. Even if you change color, if you were born White, the important information is that of DNA and not of Appearance. Example is this guy when he burns, even getting black skin by tan, he will always be white regardless of whether he was born in Alaska, Texas or Hell, because of his genetics! Do not confuse someone who goes to the beach, changes color, or is born in a certain affluent region such as Brown. If someone is born White this will never cease to be. This kind of confusing and distorting thinking is the fault of a racist and segregationist culture. It is a veritable attestation of ignorance and denial of one’s own ethnicity.
Spaniards oft look non-white.
Not really, unless they’re ethnically Gypsy/Romani. An Ethnic Spaniard looks fully European/white. Antonio Banderas isn’t an exception. He looks like what he is, a Southern White. He just tans a ton. His natural skin colour is a lighter olive than that. Also, he actually looks slightly more Italian than Spanish, IMO.
Wrong! Many Latinos are extremely white, they only look black because of the tan. Most Europeans are like that. Not everyone born in Hispanic countries is black, sucker. On the contrary, watch Mexican soap operas, they are full of tanned blondes, who love the sun, because tan is not a certificate of being black, it is healthy living, idiot.
He isn’t always tanned. And I think that this picture would be an interesting profile picture here:

He looks rather white.
