Luis Alberto Lacalle Pou is an Uruguayan lawyer and politician. He has served as President of Uruguay, since 1 March, 2020, as well as President pro tempore of the Mercosur, since 2 July, 2020. He has also been President of the Chamber of Representatives, from 1 March, 2011 to 1 March, 2012, among other duties.

He is the son of lawyer and politician Luis Alberto Lacalle, who also served as President of Uruguay, from March 1, 1990 to March 1, 1995, and María Julia Pou Brito del Pino.

President Lacalle is married to Lorena Ponce de León Núñez, with whom he has three children.
