Amit Sebastian Paul is a Swedish singer and businessperson. He was a member of pop band A*Teens. Dhani Lennevald, Sara Lumholdt, and Marie Serneholt were also members of the band.

Amit is the son of Ann-Christin Pernilla (Mechler), who is of German and Swedish descent, and Swaraj Paul, an ethnic Bengali Hindu, from India. He is married to Icelandic graphic designer Unnur Ýrr Helgadóttir, with whom he has two children.

Amit’s maternal grandfather was named Otto Franz Sebastian Mechler. Otto was a German emigrant, from Darmstadt, Hesse.

Amit’s maternal grandmother was Margit Palmer (the daughter of Efraim Palmer and Ester Maria Wilhelmina Dalbeck). Margit was born in Lungsund, Värmland. Efraim was the son of August Wilhelm Palmer and Judith Adolfina Lindén, who was a foundling. Ester was the daughter of Bengt Persson Dahlbeck and Selma Wilhelmina Pröjs.
