I don’t know why everyone is surprised that she’s part Asian. Her dad is 3/4 Chinese and 1/4 white, so of course she’s going to look less Asian than the average Eurasian (although even some 1/2 and 1/2 people can look white-passing). Her brother looks a bit more Asian than her, but he’s even white-passing, or Hispanic looking.

Well, she’s less than half Chinese but not much less, but she looks quite caucasian to have never have been teased for it except for the name. Haven’t seen the mom, but the only thing I’d think would win out here is dark hair over light hair.

I’m a bit relieved she didn’t change her last name. kudos to her for that (i’m chinese). I can tell she probably gets a lot of surprise or weird questions from ppl she knows when they find out she’s part chinese.

Yeah, I must say i’m proud of her for not changing her name. But, I think she is from a middle-class family so the name thing wouldn’t affect her as much as some others.

I think she’s really pretty. I wouldn’t have guessed she was Eurasian and I’m usually good with people’s ethnicities.

I knew she looked a little different, but couldn’t really pinpoint what exactly was so different… looks a little bit like she had some Middle Eastern or Italian.

      • andrew says:

well, she’s Caucasian looking (anything asian). Could she fit in Italy? maybe. Middle East? uhhmm..

      • Eric says:

I myself am half Chinese and half northern European myself, and look a bit closer to “asian” than she does but some people have to have it pointed out…as a kind and young adult it was more pronounced.

You never know what you get.
