She is married to singer, songwriter, and composer Michael Penn. Michael is the brother of actors Sean Penn and Chris Penn.

Aimee’s paternal grandfather was Francis William Mann, Sr. (the son of Benjamin Evan Mann and Clara Killian). Francis was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Benjamin was the son of James M. Mann and Mary Williams Derr/Dean. Clara was the daughter of Frank Killian and Louisa Hoscher.

Aimee’s paternal grandmother was Ruth Wilson White (the daughter of Theodore Wesley White and Virginia Lee Wilson). Ruth was born in Maryland. Theodore was the son of William S. White and Mariah Ann Evans. Virginia was the daughter of The Rev. James Massey Wilson and Margaret Elizabeth Wallace.

Aimee’s maternal grandfather was Adolph Lester Skundberg (the son of Alfred William Skundberg and Nora Louisa/Louise Olson/Olsen). Adolph was born in Galesville, Wisconsin. Aimee’s maternal grandmother was Nellie Blanche Knox (the daughter of Henry Walter Knox and Mamie Summerlin). Nellie was born in Tarboro, North Carolina. Henry was the son of George W. Knox and Lucy Ward. Mamie was the daughter of Jerry Thomas Summerlin and Sarah/Sally Taylor.
