Abbi Jacobson is an American comedian, writer, actress and illustrator. She is known for co-creating, and co-starring in, the show Broad City, with Ilana Glazer.

Abbi’s paternal grandfather was named Jack Morris Jacobson (the son of Alexander David Jacobson and Anna E. Rosenstein). Jack was born in Pennsylvania, to a Russian Jewish father and a Romanian Jewish mother. Anna was the daughter of Jacob Rosenstein and Rosa.

Abbi’s paternal grandmother was Estelle Abrams (the daughter of Joseph Abramowitz and Beatrice Altschuler). Joseph was born in Romania, the son of Louis Abramowitz and Sarah Abramowitz. Beatrice was born in New York, the daughter of Lithuanian Jewish parents, Max Altschuler and Esther Annie Golden.

Abbi’s maternal grandfather was Henry Mehr (the son of Louis S. Mehr and Rose R. Raeffle). Henry was born in Delaware. Louis was born in Lithuania. Rose was born in Texas, the daughter of R. Raphael and Anna, who were from Germany.

Abbi’s maternal grandmother was Mitzi R. Brody (the daughter of Jacob Brody and Leah Kaplan). Mitzi was born in Pennsylvania. Jacob was born in Russia.

        Yes it is Russian Jewish in this case. Paternal grandfather: Jack Morris Jacobson (1915-1993), was the son of Alexander David Jacobson and Anna E. Rosenstein. Alexander was Russian Jewish. Anna was Romanian Jewish, the daughter of Jacob Rosenstein (1850) and Rosa Rosenstein (1860).
        Paternal grandmother: Estelle Abrams was the daughter of Joseph Abramowitz (1896) (Romania) and Beatrice Altschuler (1900) (New York). Joseph was the son of Romanian Jewish parents Louis Abramowitz and Sarah Abramowitz. Beatrice was the daughter of Lithuanian Jewish parents Max Altschuler and Esther Annie Golden.
