Bob Feller was an American professional baseball player. He was a pitcher, who played 18 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cleveland Indians. Bob was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1962. He was nicknamed “The Heater from Van Meter,” “Bullet Bob,” and “Rapid Robert.”

Bob was the son of Lena and William Feller. Both of his parents were born in Dallas, County, Iowa. Bob was married to Anne. He had three children with his former wife Virginia Winther.

Bob’s paternal grandfather was Andrew Feller (the son of Henry Feller and Mary/Marie Bauer). Andrew was born in Germany. Henry was born in Loraine, France, the son of Henri Feller and Marie Weisen. Bob’s great-grandmother Marie was born in France, the daughter of Jean Bauer and Marie Foret.

Nicholas was the son of Jena Forret and Suzanne Redinger. Margaretha was the daughter of Daniel Fehlen and Catherine Simminger.

Bob’s maternal grandmother was Gretchen Geniser (the daughter of Frank/Franz Jacob Joseph Geniser and Hannah M. Bloeser). Gretchen was born in Iowa. Franz was born in Bayern, Germany, the son of George Frederic Generic and Marie Elizabeth Koch. Hannah was born in Darmstadt, Germany, the daughter of Anton Blaßer and Marie Eva Reuß.
