Numan Acar is a Turkish-born German actor and film producer. His roles include the films Rosewater, The Promise (2016), The Great Wall, 12 Strong, Aladdin (2019), and Spider-Man: Far From Home, and the series Homeland.
He was raised in Erzincan, Turkey, and then, when he was eight, his family moved to Germany. He speaks several languages fluently, including German, Turkish, Spanish, and English, and has knowledge of Kurdish, Azerbaijani, and Arabic.
He is of Zaza-Alevi origin.
