Perto Rican it’s not a ethnicity by the way, just a nationality, like in any other recently colonized place here in the new world.
WTF this profile pic hahahahah he looks so high
I was able to identify his parents’ names. However, I cannot proceed while the FamilySearch image viewer is not working as of this time. You will have to download the image of a record, and then view it on a browser, though this is time consuming. So, I’ll wait for the image viewer to be fixed.
The image viewer has been fixed. So, I could work on this, and I just finished it. I don’t see African nor indigenous so far on civil records.

I had a hard time looking for Rómulo’s birth record in Oletta. I looked for letter M on decennial tables. But, his name is not there. I tried to look for letter V to see whether he was born out of wedlock using his mother’s name but subsequently legitimated upon parents’ marriage. Nothing found once again. I tried to look for letter R, and I found “Romulus, natural son”, whose birth was registered on 27 November 1835.
When I apparently found his birth record, he was born out of wedlock in 1835, but was subsequently legitimated upon his parents’ marriage in 1837, though his legitimation was not annotated on his birth record. According to his 1910 U.S. Census, he was born about 1836. So, I am confident that the birth record I found is his.
Therefore, change this instead: Romule Marengo (Rómulo Marengo y Vecchio in Spanish) -> Romulus Marengo (Rómulo Marengo y Vecchionacce)

Is there a comment missing between the first and the second one? How did you get to Romulus Marengo?
Montserrate what an odd surname
I think it’s Catalan
It’s not a surname though, middle name. There’s a Caribbean island called Montserrat…
