Juscelino Kubitschek was a Brazilian politician. A member of the Social Democratic Party, he served as President of Brazil, from 31 January, 1956 to 30 January, 1961. He was previously Mayor of Belo Horizonte, from 23 October, 1940 to 30 October, 1945, and Governor of Minas Gerais, from 31 January, 1951 to 31 March, 1955, among other duties. He was also known as JK.

President Kubitschek was the son of Júlia (Kubitschek) and João César de Oliveira. His maternal great-grandfather was Bohemian [Czech], and was also said to have Romani ancestry. The remainder of President Kubitschek’s ancestry was Colonial Brazilian [Portuguese]. He was married to charity worker Sarah Kubitschek (born Sarah Luísa Gomes de Sousa Lemos), with whom he had two children.

President Kubitschek’s paternal grandfather was named Teófilo Gomes de Oliveira (the son of Emília Longuinha da Costa).

President Kubitschek’s paternal grandmother was named Eufrosina Leonardo Ribeiro (the daughter of Leonardo Ribeiro).

President Kubitschek’s maternal grandfather was Augusto Elias Kubitschek (the son of Jan Nepomuscky Kubitschek and Teresa Maria de Jesus de Aguilar). Jan was born in South Bohemia, Czech Republic (sometimes cited as Třeboň), and immigrated to Diamantina, Minas Gerais, in 1823. He was nicknamed João Alemão, meaning “German John” in Portuguese. There are claims that Jan Nepomuscky Kubitschek was of Romani ancestry. It is not clear if this is accurate.

President Kubitschek’s maternal grandmother was named Maria Joaquina Coelho.

What is the connection between this tree and President Kubitschek? The man named Theófilo de Oliveira Neto was presumably not his grandfather, since he was born c. 1890.

There is no evidence. You cited two Wikipedia links with no reliable sources attached. The last link says that Charlie Chaplin and Yul Brynner were also gypsies, and that Kubitschek’s mother was “a gypsy with Czech roots”, showing that they haven’t based it on actual research. I’ll advice to remove Romani from his ethnicity.

Is well known in Brazil that him was Gypsy

But i don’t have more evidence

Admittedly, that last link seems more reliable. But because something is well known in a population doesn’t make it reliable, that’s why this site exists.

If some more counter evidence is needed, Kubitschek’s great-grandfather’s middle name (and his own mother’s surname) is from the saint of Bohemia, John of Nepomuk. I don’t think Romanis would name their child after him, since, despite most of them being Christian, their culture and customs are still influenced by old Hindu traditions. And to my knowledge, they have almost always been outsiders in the countries where they lived, so would they name their child after the host country’s own saint?

The link that I included in the sources, which has detailed information about Jan Nepomuscky Kubitschek, doesn’t mention him being Romani. And it states that he lived on a farm, which was uncommon for Romanis from what I know (they were mostly travelers I think).
