Nathan Fielder is a Canadian comedian, actor, writer, director, producer, and entrepreneur. He starred on the series Nathan for You, which he also co-created, and was a director and writer on; The Rehearsal, which he created, wrote for, and directed; and The Curse, which he co-created, and wrote and directed for. He was also a segment producer and writer on Canadian Idol, a segment director on Important Things with Demetri Martin, and a director on Who Is America?; and has appeared on the shows This Hour Has 22 Minutes and Jon Benjamin Has a Van. He also co-starred in the films The Disaster Artist and Marcel the Shell with Shoes On.

He is the son of social workers Deb and Eric Fielder.

Nathan’s paternal grandfather was named Nathan Fielder. Nathan was born in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Nathan’s paternal grandmother was Lilian Freda Itcovitch (the daughter of Moses Mordechai Itcovitch and Devorah Small). Lilian was born in Montréal, Québec.
