Jessica Ennis-Hill is a British track and field athlete, and sports commentator. She specialized in combined events contests and 100 metres hurdles, and competed in the heptathlon and pentathlon. She was previously known under her maiden name Jessica Ennis.
Jessica was born to a black father, a painter and decorator, and a white English mother, Alison, a counsellor. She is married to construction site manager Andy Hill, with whom she has two children.
Jessica’s paternal grandfather was named Winston Ennis.

Jessica’s maternal grandfather was named Rodney Powell.
Jessica’s maternal grandmother was Margaret Ollerenshaw (the daughter of Raymond Lancelot Ollerenshaw and Mary Elliott). Raymond was a sheep farmer, who received an OBE for services to farming; he also presented on sheepdog trial television show One Man and His Dog. Raymond was the son of Arthur Ollerenshaw and Ethel Spittelhouse.
