Jermaine Jones is a German and American professional soccer player. A defensive midfielder, he played with Eintracht Frankfurt II, Eintracht Frankfurt, Bayer Leverkusen II, Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke 04, Blackburn Rovers, Beşiktaş, New England Revolution, Colorado Rapids, LA Galaxy, Ventura County Fusion, and Ontario Fury, and the German national team, U.S. national team, and U.S. arena national team. He is the head coach for Central Valley Fuego FC.
His father is American, and was a soldier in the U.S. Army who was stationed in West Germany at the time of his birth; he is African-American. His mother is German. Jermaine was raised in Bonames, Germany, then Chicago, Illinois, and Greenwood, Mississippi, U.S., and then lived in Germany with his mother after his parents’ divorce.
