Gilda Radner was an American comedian, writer, and actress.

Her father, Herman Radner, whose surname was originally Ratkowsky, was of Lithuanian Jewish descent. Her mother, Henrietta (Dworkin), was of Polish Jewish descent. Gilda was married to actor Gene Wilder, until her death.

Gilda’s paternal grandfather was George Ratkowsky/Ratkofsky/Radner (the son of Isaac Yanov/Yanoff/Yankel Ratkowsky/Ratkofsky and Goldie Rosenthal). George was a Jewish emigrant, from Kalvarija, Lithuania. Goldie was the daughter of Yael/Gale Rosenthal and Ida.
