Yitzhak Rabin was an Israeli politician, statesman. and general. He served as Prime Minister of Israel, from 3 June, 1974 to 22 April, 1977, and again from 13 July, 1992 to 4 November, 1995, when he was assassinated. He was also Minister of Defense, from 13 September, 1984 to 15 March, 1990, and again from 13 July, 1992 to 4 November, 1995.
He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 1994, with Shimon Peres and Yasser Arafat. “The Peacemakers” won Time Magazine’s Person of the Year for 1993. Yitzhak was one of four persons chosen to represent that title, along with Arafat, F. W. de Klerk, and Nelson Mandela.
Prime Minister Rabin was the son of Rosa (Cohen) and Nehemia Rubitzow/Rabin. His parents were Jewish emigrants from the Russian Empire, his father from Smidowitz and his mother from Mogilev, Belarus. Prime Minister Rabin was married to Leah Rabin, until his death. The couple had two children.

Prime Minister Rabin’s maternal grandmother was Sheina Rachel Baruchin (the daughter of Szewel Baruchin and Golda Zylberblat). Szewel was the son of Moszka/Mowsza Aaron Baruchin. Golda was the daughter of Mejer Elja Zylberblat.

A have a memory of him when he was killed. I still remember Rabin’s death’s headline in the frontpage on the newspaper in my father’s car seat on a sunny sunday morning.

Do you think Rabin had a Germanic phenotype? Some people seem to think this. He does look lighter, but not Germanic imo.
Unsure about that. He certainly was within the European spectrum.
