Vicky Krieps is a Luxembourgish actress. She is known for her roles as Alma in the film Phantom Thread (2017) and Prisca in the film Old (2021). Her father is Luxembourgish and her mother is German. Vicky has two children with her partner, German actor Jonas Laux.
Vicky’s paternal grandfather was politician Robert Krieps (the son of Adolphe Krieps and Ernestine Ehlinger). Robert was born in Dalheim, Luxembourg, and was active in the Luxembourgish resistance during World War II. Adolphe was born in Petingen, the son of Jean Krieps and Suzanne Conter. Ernestine was the daughter of Jean Joseph Ehlinger and Marguerite Dostert.
Vicky’s paternal grandmother was Renée Ketter (the daughter of Aloyse/Aloysius Ketter and Maria C. Wagener). Renée was born in Strasbourg, France. Aloyse was the son of Mathieu/Mathias Ketter and Mariene/Marianna Ansay.
