Dave Casper is an American professional football player. He was a tight end, and played most of his National Football League (NFL) career for the Oakland Raiders. He was nicknamed “the Ghost.”

Casper is the son of Dorothy and Edward Casper. He was raised partly in Elgin, Illinois and Chilton, Wisconsin.

Casper’s paternal grandfather was Marcus David “Max” Casper (the son of Nicholas J. Casper and Magdaline Michline). Marcus was born in Wisconsin, to a German father and a Luxembourgish mother.

Capser’s paternal grandmother was Nellie/Nell J. Schoenberger (the daughter of George Schoenberger and Bridget Welsch/Welch). Nellie was born in Wisconsin. George was born in Prussia, Germany. Bridget was born in Tipperary, Ireland, or in Wisconsin, to Irish parents, John Welsch/Welch and Johanna Conners.
