Vera Fischer is a Brazilian actress. She was crowned Miss Brasil in 1969, and was a semifinalist at Miss Universe 1969. Her roles include the film A Superfêmea and the telenovelas O Clone and Laços de Família.
Vera was born in Blumenau, Santa Catarina, the daughter of Hildegard and Emil Fischer. She was raised Protestant (Lutheran) and spoke German as a first language. She learned Portuguese at school. Her father was originally from Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, and moved to Blumenau in the 1930s. Her mother was born in Brazil, of German descent. Vera’s parents are pictured here.
She has a daughter with her former husband, film director and actor Perry Salles; and a son with her former husband, actor Felipe Camargo.
Vera’s paternal grandfather was Leonhardt Karl Fischer (the son of Georg Leonhard Fischer and Caroline Christine Wieland). Leonhardt was born in Gailsbach, Mainhardt, Germany.
