Birth Name: Wardell Stephen Curry II
Place of Birth: Akron, Ohio, U.S.
Date of Birth: March 14, 1988

Stephen Curry, also known as Steph Curry, is an American professional basketball player. A point guard, he plays for the Golden State Warriors of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is regarded as one of the greatest players ever. He is one of the record-setting Splash Brothers basketball duo, with Klay Thompson.
Stephen is the son of Sonya Alicia (Adams), a volleyball player and educator, and Dell Curry (Wardell Stephen Curry), an NBA player, who played with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Charlotte Hornets, and Toronto Raptors. His brother is professional basketball player Seth Curry. He was raised mostly in Charlotte, North Carolina, also spending time in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, while his father played in those cities.
Stephen’s parents are both African-American. His grandparents are all African-American as well. Stephen is married to Canadian-born actress Ayesha Curry, with whom he has four children.
Stephen is sometimes described as having a Haitian maternal grandparent. This is not accurate.
Stephen’s paternal grandfather is named Wardell Curry (the son of Blanch Perline Curry).
Stephen’s paternal grandmother is named Juanita Marian/Marion Leitch/Gaines Casey (the daughter of Eugenia Marian Gaines).
Stephen’s maternal grandfather is Cleive Ester Adams (the son of Cleive Ester Adams and Bertha Blanche Arrington). Stephen’s great-grandfather Cleive was the son of Jonnie Lee Adams and Mattie Annie Taylor. Bertha possibly was the daughter of John Arrington and Ruby Tyree.
Stephen’s maternal grandmother is Candy Ann Wyms (the daughter of Walter Leonard Wyms and Evelyn Katherine Snell). Walter was the son of Judge Paul Wyms and Virginia Belle Hines. Evelyn was the daughter of Archie Newbern Snell and Gertrude Katherine Hubbard. A picture of Archie’s parents, Stephen’s great-great-great-grandparents Wesley Snell and Flora Etta DeHart, can be seen here.
A picture of Stephen with his wife and daughter can be seen here.

beautiful family
he is awfully young to be a dad
That’s when you have kids. That way, they don’t come along when you’re beat down
He looks more mixed than biracial Lewis Hamilton lol
50-55% European i bet, from his mixed African American ancestors.
“Black” is only a social political label although their are varying degrees of ancestry in both his parents. Stephen is “Black” like Langston Hughes, Lena Horne, Vanessa Williams and civil rights activist, Adam Clayton Powell Jr. is/was BLACK. Almost all African Americans have a myriad of ethnic ancestry but are still deemed “black”.
@Gurll that’s not a good yardstick to compare as to who looks mor emixed. Hair texture is bigger than skin tone. Steph has very kinky hair that shows a more dna percentage of West African than a 50/50 biracial. Mixed biracial tend to have looser curlier straighter hair though not all he time but normally 85% of the time. Ignore the light skin tone because there are biracial people and non black people darker than Steph Curry. Skin tone is the least determinant of racial admixture. I would say like another post Steve Curry looks 60-65% Subsaharan West African.
he looks mixed to me. I am not sure if his father is 100% SSA though

DNA TEST PREDICTIONS
55-60% Black/Negro, 45%- 40% Caucasian/White.
His mother looks like she has a bit more than half Caucasian/White ancestry, and his father looks about 25% White/Caucasian.
Native American may also be there as well, but minimum.
Sounds about accurate. I thought he was a direct mulatto when I first saw him — although he is a multi-generational one.

CORRECTION
His mother is “Creole” and his father is “African American”

I don’t think I trust that article
Creole is not a race but cultures. and yes he mixed but both parents consider themselves A-A. all A-A are mixed
True creole is not a race but it does indicate heritage. Creole is someone of a mix of European and African blood.
