    As a non-American posting on a site about ethnicity, I find the term “Puerto Rican” rather puzzling. It is not a nationality, it is not a race group, and it is not indicative of her nationality (US) or place of birth. What does it actually mean?

  2. Mari says:

    Glad to see her progress but her dad was a Puerto Rican because his family migrated there not because he is originally PuertoRican. My brother in law always goes by Puerto Rican but in fact his mother was a white woman with blue eyes and chestnut brown hair from Spain and his dad was a black man from Venezuela. They met in PR where they were both living for many years. The same is true for my other PR friend who was born in PR of a black Honduranian parent and an indianwhite Equadorian parent and so it was easier to say “Im PRcan” but infact they were transplants.

    • rafael says:

      everyone from puerto rico migrated there, thats what he have in common, your friends have exactly what to do with sonia

    • Jarocho says:

      stop lying, nobody immigrates to Puerto Rico other than Dominicans lol Puerto Rico is an island, nobody is welling to jump on a banana boat to get to an Island where there’s tons of poverty, people immigrate to the USA instead

      • rafael says:

        yeah, jarocho everyone in puerto rico fell from the sky and landed there, and by the way genius, puerto rico is part of america.also look into the royal decree of garces 1815 and learn instead of making ignorant and moronic comments.

    • marjanel says:

      So with that logic.Americans are just transplants too.

  5. rafael says:

    • no says:

      Damn, that comment leads me to believe there’s a lot of racism and hate towards Hispanics on this site. Why the hate people??

      • WTF says:

        @No

      • rafael says:

        no its not just this site i dont even bother going on youtube, because people go out of their way to make racist comments

      • Yeah okay says:

        I smell a troll. How is there racism against Hispanics, when you are supposedly a WHITE Mexican of French and Spanish Heritage? Sweetheart, most Mexicans do not consider themselves Hispanic. Half of them don’t even know what the hell the term means. White people give them that term. In another profile you said this yourself, now as a white Mexican you are speaking against the racism against “Hispanics”
