Sasami’s paternal grandmother was Irma Ender (the daughter of Emanuel Ender and Martha Auguste Buchholz). Irma was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Emanuel was born in Germany. Martha was born in Milwaukee, to ethnic German emigrants from Posen/Poznań, now Poland.
