Rosé (로제) is a Korean-New Zealand singer and dancer, based in South Korea. She is a member of South Korean girl group Blackpink. The other members of the group are Jennie, Jisoo, and Lisa. In South Korea, she was signed with label YG Entertainment. As a solo artist, her songs include “On the Ground” and “Apt.” She is the first Korean female soloist to reach number one on the ARIA Singles Chart, and the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. She has been a global ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent.
Rosé was born in Auckland, New Zealand, the daughter of Clare and Mason Park. Her parents are from South Korea. Her Korean name is Park Chae-young (박채영). When she was seven, Rosé moved with her family to Melbourne, Australia; then later began working in the entertainment industry in Seoul, South Korea as a teenager. She is a citizen of South Korea and New Zealand.
