Ronny Chieng is a Malaysian actor. He is known for featuring on television’s The Daily Show and Ronny Chieng: International Student, and in the films M3GAN, Crazy Rich Asians, Wish Dragon, Godzilla vs. Kong, and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.

He was born in Johor Bahru, to a Chinese-Malaysian family. He was raised in the city, as well as Singapore, and Manchester, New Hampshire, U.S., the latter for five years. He was a Singapore Sea Scout.

Ronny moved to New York in 2015. He is married to Hannah Pham.
