Pia Wurtzbach, also known as Pia Romero, is a German-Filipina actress, model, host, television personality, chef, beauty writer, stylist, makeup artist, and beauty pageant titleholder. She was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2015 and Miss Universe 2015.

Pia was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg. She was partly raised in Iligan, Northern Mindanao, Philippines, and then Cagayan de Oro. Her father, Klaus Uwe Wurtzbach, was German. Her mother, Cheryl Santiago Alonzo, is Filipina, of Tagalog descent, and was born in Malabon, Rizal, now part of Metro Manila. Pia is a practising Catholic.

Pia is married to Scottish entrepreneur Jeremy Jauncey.

Pia’s maternal grandfather was Rodolfo Lucas Alonzo (the son of Victorino Alonzo y Bagtas, or Victorino Bagtas Alonzo in Filipino, and of Felicísima Lucas y Aquino, or Felicísima Aquino Lucas in Filipino). Rodolfo was born in Malabon, Rizal (now part of Metro Manila). Victorino was the son of Gabino Alonzo and Catalina Bagtas. Felicísima was the daughter of Miguel Lucas y Ignacio (or Miguel Ignacio Lucas in Filipino) and Feliciana Aquino.

Pia’s maternal grandmother was Nelia Cordero Santiago (the daughter of Angel Buenaventura Santiago and Florentina Cordero). Nelia was born in Malabon. Angel was the son of Juan Santiago y de la Cruz (or Juan de la Cruz Santiago in Filipino) and Leodegaria Buenaventura y Pascual (or Leodegaria Pascual Buenaventura in Filipino). Florentina was the daughter of a father surnamed Cordero, and of Juliana Odvina.
