Paula Zahn is an American journalist and newscaster. She has worked for ABC News, CBS News, Fox News, and CNN. She is also known for hosting true crime series On the Case with Paula Zahn on Investigation Discovery.

She was raised in Ohio and Illinois. She has three children with her former husband, New York City real estate developer Richard Cohen.

Paula’s paternal grandfather was Paul Fred Zahn (the son of Gerhard Friedrich Heinrich Zahn and Caroline Marie Mueller). Paul was born in Nebraska, to German parents. Gerhard was the son of Friedrich Heinrich “Fred” Zahn and Margarethe Charlotte “Lotta” Schroeder. Caroline was the daughter of Mary.
