Paul Warfield is an American professional football player. He was a wide receiver, who played for the Cleveland Browns and the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL), and for the Memphis Southmen. He was known for his speed and jumping ability, and was later a scout and adviser for the Browns. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1983.

Paul is the son of Omelia Bell and Dryden Warfield, a deacon in a Baptist church.

Paul’s paternal grandfather was named Edward Warfield.

Paul’s paternal grandmother was named Lena Dryden Smith.

Paul’s maternal grandfather was Henry Fort (the son of Wilson Fort and Harriet Elizabeth Hatcher).

Paul’s maternal grandmother was Marie Bell Hampton (the daughter of Thomas Hampton and Emily Pendleton Tyler).
