Pat LaFontaine

Pat LaFontaine is an American professional ice hockey player. He was a National Hockey League center, who played for the Buffalo Sabres, New York Islanders, and New York Rangers. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2003.

Pat is the son of Gisele and John LaFontaine. He was raised partly in Waterford, Michigan.

Pat’s paternal grandfather was Frederick Joseph LaFontaine (the son of Raymond James LaFontaine and Bertha Jane Bastien). Frederick was the son of John Joseph LaFontaine/Fountain and Pauline/Paulina Hintz Jablinska/Jablenski.

Pat’s paternal grandmother was Irene Marie Louise Campeau (the daughter of Israel Xavier Campeau and Joséphine Soullière). Israel was born in Ontario, Canada, the son of Jerome Campeau and Herese Letourneau. Joséphine was the daughter of Basil Souliere Suliere Sustier Suyère and Francoise Fanny Campau.

Pat’s maternal grandfather was Joseph Ivel Lapierre (the son of Edouard Lapierre and Séraphine Therriault).

Pat’s maternal grandmother was Marie Anne Lucienne Laporte (the daughter of Antoine Laporte and Yvonne Gagnon).
