Nina Dobrev is a Canadian actress and model. She is known for starring on the series The Vampire Diaries, and in the films Dog Days, The Final Girls, and Run This Town.
Nina was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, to Bulgarian parents, Michaela (Radeva) and Konstantin Dobrev. When she was two, her family moved to Toronto, Ontario, Canada, where she was raised. She is fluent in English, French, and Bulgarian.

Nina once stated “I’m a Gypsy, what can I say…” It is not clear if she was referring to being of the Romani ethnic group, or to the term “gypsy” as it is sometimes used to refer to lifestyle habits. It appears that Nina often refers to herself as a “gypsy” in this latter way.

This site clearly says ETHNICITY. Nina’s ethnicity is Bulgarian. A black man from Bulgaria is only Bulgarian by Nationality not by ethnicity. So you are incorrect. A black man from England ain’t English ethnically now is he?

Depends on your view on ethnicity. But most would agree with you….however, it should not be used for racism. Black Bulgarians are equally Bulgarian because they would be part of the Bulgarian culture.
Also ”white” is quite loose. Slavs share a lot of genetics with Altaic people, same with Uralic people (and Scandinavians due to the mixing with Uralic) so who really cares about colour codes?

Everyone is mixed, ethnically, far enough back but that does not mean they are ”mixed-race”, unless they have some Neanderthals in their family tree.
In that case must every one identify as mixed?? :/ NO obviously not, people tend to identify with the most dominant race. With Nina, I highly doubt she is mixed, she definitely looks European BUT even if she did have some non-white in her down the line, what major difference would it make? There aren’t many black or mixed people in Bulgaria now and what about 20+ years ago.These are the Balkans not USA or South Africa. So yes it’s correct to say that bulgarian=white.

Europeans have so much more phenotypic diversity than Africans, our hair colour ranges from blonde, to brown, to black, to red. Our eyes from blue to green to brown to almost black. Our skin from pale white in the north to olive in Mediterranean.
The pure black can be found Sub Saharan Africa (because he never migrated, his geographical region demanded no more from him) and west africa – all sharing the darkest hues of pigmentation, flat wide noses, full lips, prognatheous jaws, occipital buns, and relatively similar cranial measurements. The blacks in North America like Keri Hilson, whether you want to admit it or not, have European, Amerindian or Asian admixture somewhere down the line, which have resulted in their lighter skin hues, finer features and even lighter eyes, like in the case of Vanessa Williams.
I believe Africans have a far more diverse gene pool than any other race as their race has existed far longer than any other.
