Also, her father is unlikely to be full Sicilian, because they are mixed. Many have Norman and Greek admixture.
Her father might be “mixed’ not because he would have Norman or Greek admixture (note that he has roots in Lipari, archipelago north of Messina), but because his name Elliot is not much Italian/Sicilian thus he may have a mother of different background.
Elliot is his first name, so that’s not connected to his ancestry necessarily. Also, there’s a high percentage of Greek admixture in that area.
