Melissa Rosenberg is an American screenwriter and television producer. She is known for her work on the shows The O.C., Dexter, and Jessica Jones, and for writing the film Step Up and the Twilight films.

She is the daughter of Patricia, a lawyer, and Jack Lee Rosenberg, a psychotherapist, who is the founder of integrative body psychotherapy. Melissa is married to television director Lev L. Spiro. Lev is Jewish.

Melissa’s paternal grandfather was named Jack Rosenberg (the son of Fanny/Fannie Leber). Fanny was born in Russia.

Melissa’s paternal grandmother was named Sylvia Minton.
