Magnús Scheving is an Icelandic writer, entrepreneur, producer, actor, and athlete. He created, directed, and starred on, the show LazyTown.
He is the son of Þórveig Hjartardóttir and Eyjólfur Ægir Magnússon Scheving. He was partly raised in Borgarnes, a small town. Magnús is married to businessperson and television producer Hrefna Björk Sverrisdóttir. He has two children, including singer Sylvia Scheving, with his former wife, Ragnheiður Melsteð, who was a co-founder and executive producer of LazyTown Entertainment.
Magnús’ paternal grandfather was Magnús Jónsson Scheving (the son of Jón Scheving Hansson and Sigríður Magnúsdóttir). Jón was the son of Hans Scheving Hannesson and Stefanía Ragnheiður Stefánsdóttir. Sigríður was the daughter of Magnús Magnússon and Guðrún Markúsdóttir.
Magnus’ paternal grandmother was Sólveig Vilhjálmsdóttir (the daughter of Sigfús Vilhjálmur Einarsson and Kristín Jónsdóttir). Vilhjálmur was the son of Einar Guðmundsson and Sigríður Þorláksdóttir. Kristín was the daughter of Jón Jónsson and Sólveig Sveinsdóttir.
Magnús’ maternal grandfather was Hjörtur Guðjónsson (the son of Guðjón Gíslason and Pálína Jónsdóttir). Hjörtur was born in Viðbordi á Mýrum. Guðjón was the son of Gísli Sigurðsson and Hólmfríður Jónsdóttir. Pálína was the daughter of Jón Hálfdanarson and Halldóra Pálsdóttir.
Magnús’ maternal grandmother was Guðrún Ragna Valgeirsdóttir (the daughter of Valgeir Friðrik Gunnar Bjarnason and Sólveig Sigríður Jónsdóttir). Guðrún was born in Höfn.
