Lana Turner was an American film and television actress.

Lana was the daughter of Mildred Frances and Virgil Madison Turner. She had English, and some Irish and Scottish, ancestry. She was also said to have Dutch roots. It is not clear if that is accurate. She had a daughter, real estate broker, author, and model Cheryl Crane, with her former husband, actor and restaurateur Joseph Stephen Crane.

Lana’s paternal grandfather was named Robert Joseph Turner (the son of James Madison Turner and Rebecca E. Kiziah). Robert was born in Alabama.

Lana’s paternal grandmother was Mary Anette/Annette Quillen (the daughter of Lafayette Quillen and Sarah Jane Baker). Mary was born in Tennessee. Lafayette was the son of William Quillen and Rebecca Jane Hinson.

Lana’s maternal grandfather was William/Willis Arthur Cowan/Cowen (the son of James Martin Cowan and Sarah M. Willis or Susan M. Hutchens). William was born in Arkansas. James was the son of Stephen Anderpool Cowan and Elizabeth Long.
