Jayson’s paternal grandfather was Russell L. Blair (the son of Abel Joseph Blair/Blarel and Susanna/Susana/Susan T. Kane). Russell was born in Pennsylvania. Abel was born in Ames, Pas-de-Calais, France, the son of Henri Florimond Blarel and Marie Flavie Dequese. Susanna was born in England, the daughter of Thomas Kane, who was Irish, and of Catherine Ann Hinds, who was born in Ludworth, County Durham, England, to an Irish-born father and an English-born mother.

Jayson’s paternal grandmother was Shirley Mae/May LaVoy (the daughter of William Berdeen LaVoy and Eva A. Benore). Shirley was born in Michigan, and was of French-Canadian descent. William was born in Michigan, the son of Eli LaVoy and Mary LaPoint. Eva was born in Michigan, the daughter of George S. Benore and Anna Gagnier.
