Jack Stewart was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He was a defenseman, who spent his National Hockey League (NHL) career playing for the Detroit Red Wings and the Chicago Blackhawks.

Jack was the son of Beatrice Maude Olivia and John Calvin Stewart.

Jack’s paternal grandfather was named John M. Stewart. John was Scottish.

Jack’s paternal grandmother was Mary Isabella Laurie (the daughter of James Alexander Laurie and Margaret Wright Scott). Mary was born in Canada, to Scottish parents. James was the son of John Laurie and Catherine Campbell. Margaret was the daughter of Thomas Scott and Wilhelmina Irvine Wright.
