Ian Bremmer is an American political scientist, author, and entrepreneur. He specializes in global political risk. He founded political risk research and consulting firm Eurasia Group, of which he is president, and digital media firm GZERO Media.

He is the son of Maria and Arthur Bremmer, who had served in the Korean War. Ian was raised in housing projects in Chelsea, near Boston.
