Erwan’s father, Louis Paul Heussaff, is a French entrepreneur, from Douarnenez, Finistère. Erwan’s mother, Cynthia Obial Adea, is Filipina, from Paete, Laguna. Erwan’s older sister is actress and model Solenn Heussaff.

Erwan is married to actress Anne Curtis, with whom he has a daughter.

Erwan’s paternal grandfather was Joseph Jean Barthélemy Heussaff (the son of Paul Heussaff and Marie Josèphe Kervévan). Joseph was born in Crozon, Finistère. Paul was the son of Corentin Heussaff and Marie Jeanne Thomas. Erwan’s great-grandmother Marie was the daughter of Jean Kervévan and Marie Gourret.

Erwan’s maternal grandmother was Enriqueta Cadayona Obial (the daughter of Juan “Juang/Antong Pangatio” Obial and Vicenta “Intang” Cadayona y Cainto, or Vicenta Cainto Cadayona in Filipino). Juan was from Pagsanjan, Laguna. Vicenta was the daughter of Andrés Cadayona y Fadol (or Andrés Fadol Cadayona in Filipino) and Antonia “Toning” Cainto.

Erwan’s matrilineal ancestry can be traced back to her third great-grandmother, Simforosa “Osi” Cainto.
