Elgin Baylor was an American professional basketball player, coach, executive, and actor. He played 14 seasons as a forward in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers, including eight NBA Finals.

He was the son of Ozziel/Uzziel and John Wesley Baylor. He was married to Elaine, until his death. He had three children, including one with Elaine.
