Edie’s paternal grandfather was Walter Leo/Lee Brickell (the son of Joseph Whitfield “Joe” Brickell and Sarah Elizabeth “Sara” Moore). Walter was born in Arkansas.

Eddie’s paternal grandmother was Laura Josephine Langston (the daughter of Oscar Lee Langston and Florence Alvaretta Nicholson). Oscar was the son of William Alexander Langston and Mary Ann Austin.
