Ronaldo is 100% Portuguese.
Yes, agreed. Portuguese are not very exotic looking. Most are Atlato-Mediterranean, no different than Galicians, Brits, or French particularly from the Atlantic coast.
Ronaldo’s siblings if you look at them are very Portuguese looking and what most would expect, don’t let the tan confuse you.
Ronaldo is actually tanned, but I can see how some confuse him with being part African because of his athletic prowess. Yes, Ronaldo had family members on his mother side that owned business in Cape Verde in the early 20th century as many Madeirans at the time did. But the supposed tie/link comes from his great grandfather’s family that came back to Madeira after a long drought. So yes, there are Cape Verde ties, but the family lineage you speak of was ethnic Portuguese and not African Cape Verdean. Hope this clears up the misunderstanding.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird Ronaldo failed to mention he is part Cape Verdean? He always goes on about loving the country.
