Scottish surname.
On an old forum about Cindy’s ancestry, a member wrote he had heard she is of “part Yugoslav ancestry”. I never found any Yugoslav-sounding surname in her family tree, so I’m guessing the guy likely mixed her up with Catherine Oxenberg (Serbian) or Stephanie Seymour (Croatian).
