Chrishell Stause, full name Terrina Chrishell Stause, is an American actress and real estate agent. She is known for her roles on the soaps All My Children and Days of Our Lives, and on reality show Selling Sunset.
She is the daughter of Ranae, and was adopted by her stepfather, Jeff Stause, a drummer. She has said, “My biological dad is half Japanese and half Spanish. My mom is a European mix.” Her grandmother is of Japanese descent. A picture of Chrishell with her father can be seen here.
A DNA test whose results Chrishell displayed on her Instagram page stated that her genetic ancestry is:
*23% East Asia
*16% Great Britain
*16% Iberian Peninsula
*15% Europe West
*10% Ireland/Scotland/Wales
*7% Native American
She has sometimes been credited as Chrishell Hartley, while married to her former husband, actor Justin Hartley.
Chrishell’s maternal grandfather was named Bobby/Bob Gene Phegley (the son of Frances Viola Phegley). Bobby was born in Missouri. Frances was born in Missouri, the daughter of Joseph Daniel Phegley and Harriet R. McClanahan.
Chrishell’s maternal grandmother is Donna McCormick (the daughter of Benjamin Wyatt “Ben” McCormick and Virgie Harriet Lee). Donna likely was born in Missouri. Benjamin was born in Missouri, the son of Robert Dickerson McCormick and Rachel Caroline Bollinger. Virgie was born in Missouri, the daughter of Henry Lee and Sarah E. Edmund/Edmonds.

Her biological father is likely half Mexican or some other Latino background, not “Spanish”. That is likely where the 7% Native American came from. As for her physical appearance, she is predominantly European genetically, so it should be no surprise that she looks it.
Would be interesting to see what her actual, biological looks like. I’ve only seen images of “Jeff Strause”, who seems to be her stepfather.
Her mother was named Ranae. Her stepfather was named Jeff Stause and was a drummer. She was adopted by her stepfather and stated that she never met her bio father.
She is darker than her sisters
“My biological dad is half Japanese and half Spanish. My mom is a European mix.”
These aren’t her biological paternal grandparents.

Looks like the Japanese rumor likely is true.

Both her parents are white.
She would be 30% East Asian+Native American so I dunno what’s goin’ on.
She has stated “my grandmother is Japanese” in comments section.
I’ve only seen photos of her stepfather, Jeff Strause, not her biological father, who is the side that she claims is where the Japanese side comes from per the Snapchat screenshot provided. Not her mothers side. I also suspect that her biological father is actually half Mexican, which would explain the 7% Native American.
Admixture tests aren’t perfect. I’m partly NA but some of my origins are attributed to East Asia, China, Mongolia, Japan, and even some South Asia. These results are high unlikely to be accurate.
You always have to take these things with a grain of salt.
Her mother looks pretty white, yes, but she could plausibly be half Japanese (and evidently is). She reminds me of Masahiro Sakurai.
I don’t see it in Chrishell or her mother, but I do in her sister.

Chrishell looked more Japanese-influenced in her younger days:

Though if I would’ve guessed which side it came from, I would’ve guessed from her father:

The Japanese ancestry comes from her father. So her mothers ancestry is presumably all European. I suspect her biological father was half Mexican (as you’ve mentioned in your comments below), which would explain the Native American and Iberian DNA.
As for her appearance, since is she predominantly European genetically, I’m not shocked that she looks well, predominantly European.
Maybe her mother is half Mexican, half Japanese. 16% Iberian + 7% Native American = 23%, very consistent with a Mexican background.
