Dunga, or Carlos Dunga, is a Brazilian professional footballer. A defensive midfielder, he played for Internacional, Corinthians, Santos, Vasco da Gama, Pisa, Fiorentina, Pescara, VfB Stuttgart, and Júbilo Iwata, and the Brazil Olympic team and Brazil national team. He captained the Brazil national team that won the 1994 FIFA World Cup. He has managed the Brazil national team, Brazil U23, and Internacional.

Dunga is the son of Maria Bledorn and Edelceu Verri, a footballer. His father is of Italian descent, from Piedmont. His mother is of German descent.

Dunga’s paternal grandfather was Caetano Verri, a footballer.
