Bridget Regan is an American actress. She is known for her roles on the series Agent Carter, The Last Ship, Legend of the Seeker, White Collar, Jane the Virgin, and Batwoman.

Bridget is the daughter of Mary Catherine and James Regan. She was raised Catholic. Bridget is married to writer Eamon O’Sullivan, with whom she has two children.

Bridget has stated:

My mom and all her sisters are named Mary. Mary Catherine, Mary Margaret, Mary Martha… Yes, I’m that Irish Catholic.

Bridget’s paternal grandfather was James Daniel Regan, Sr. (the son of Edward James Regan and Mary Burns). James was born in Ohio. Edward was born in Buffalo, New York, to parents who also were born in New York, and were likely of Irish descent. Mary was the daughter of Irish immigrants. Her mother’s name was Margaret.

Bridget’s paternal grandmother was Jean M. Hodgson (the daughter of Matthew J. Hodgson and Edna Marguerite Coyne). Jean was born in Ohio. Matthew was the son of Franklin LeRoy Hodgson, whose father was the son of English immigrants, and whose mother had deep roots in the U.S.; and of Mary D. Kitson, whose father, and maternal grandparents, were English emigrants, from Yorkshire. Edna was the daughter of John Coyne, who was of Irish descent, and of Ellen M. Sheedy, whose parents were also Irish.

Bridget’s maternal grandfather was Thomas Joseph Hagedorn (the son of Joseph Henry Hagedorn and Catherine Gast). Thomas was born in Delphos, Ohio. Joseph was the son of John Hagedorn and Katherine Woeste, who were born in Ohio, both of them to German parents. Catherine was the daughter of August/Augustus Gast, whose father was Alsatian and whose mother was German; and of Wilhelmina “Minnie” Schroeder, whose parents were also German.

Bridget’s maternal grandmother was Catherine Helen Seward (the daughter of James B. Seward and Mary Helen Farrell). Catherine was born in Elyria, Ohio. James was the son of Irish emigrants, Thomas D. Seward, from County Meth, and Esther Colgan, from County Laois. Mary was also the daughter of Irish parents, Michael J. Farrell and Mary Costelloe Sheehan.
