Bobby Doerr was an American professional baseball player. He was a second baseman who played all 14 years in Major League Baseball (MLB) with the Boston Red Sox, and a coach.

Bobby was the son of Frances Ida and Harold Austin Doerr. He was married to Monica Terpin, until her death, with whom he had a son.

Bobby’s paternal grandfather was John Reuben Doerr (the son of Phillip/Philipp Henry Heinrich/Doerr and Mary Theresa Michaels). John was born in Missouri. Phillip was born in Deggendorf, Lower Bavaria, Bavaria, Germany, the son of Johann Andreas/Andrew Doerr and Christina Susanna Sophia Doerr. Mary was the daughter of Jacobi/James Michal/Michaels/Michel, who was born in Soumagne, Liege, Walloon Region, Belgium, and of Susanna/Susannah Layton.

Bobby’s paternal grandmother was Emma Flora Muncton (the daughter of Henry Muncton and Jane Day). Emma was born in Vermont, to an English father and a Welsh mother. Henry was the son of John Monkton and Agnes.

Bobby’s maternal grandfather was John Baptist Herrnberger (the son of John Herrberger and Frances Schradinger).

Bobby’s maternal grandmother was Jennie Eliza Strader (the daughter of Aquila/Aquilla Worth Strader and Ida Adella Stancliff). Jennie was born in Kansas. Aquilla was the son of Abel Strader and Tabitha Ward. Ida was the daughter of Chester Haven Stancliff and Sarah Eliza Gore.
