@bablah
Me and @follers had an exchange while back about the fluidity of Eastern Europe/Slavic world ethnicities. For example Joe Manganiello’s ancestors were listed as Slovenian speakers (I found a few others as such that are thought to be Croatian) on U.S. Cenus and Dianne West’s Cosulichs were evidently Italian. Have a look if you don’t mind (also this profile).
Sincerely
Andrew
Andrea’s surname seems to often be Romanian Jewish, so you might be on the right track there.

Faesaneaun really must be misspelled in some way. The ending makes me think of “-baum” but there may very well be other more Romanian-sounding surnames it could be close to as well.
Seems uber Jewish then. Faesaneaun is as you said -baum something, not Romanian.

Her father was born in Bucharest or Bacău, Romania.
Andrea’s paternal grandfather was Ernest Marcovici.
Andrea’s paternal grandmother was Ella Faesaneaun.
It could just be “Faesaneau” if you’re really looking for a different spelling.
There are old articles that describe her as non-Jewish. That doesn’t disprove her father being Jewish, of course, but it’s something.
Are there non-Jewish Marcovici?
Most are Jewish.
Her father is Jewish.
Her father seems Jewish to me.
Maternal grandmother: Barbara Varga (1890-1971) was the daughter of Estok Varga and Alzbeta Marcincin Latsko. Alzbeta was Hungarian born.
True, Varga is Hungarian. Like model Viktoria Varga for example
