I’m Black/ Portuguese/ Irish and Italian.
Her father is said to have Italian and Irish ancestry. Given the surname Levonchuck, he also may have Polish ancestry. Her mother has African-Cape Verdean, Portuguese-Cape Verdean, and Scottish ancestry. A picture of Amber’s parents and son can be seen here.

Wow!!! I used that DNA kit on ancestry.com and my results just came in!…. my family is from…. Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon, Congo, Italy, Ireland, England, Part European Jewish, Scandinavia, Polynesia, Iraq, Iran and Kuwait. Damn I knew I was mixed but this is Awesome!
Cape Verde is a group of islands located off the coast of West Africa. Most of the population (about 71%) of Cape Verde is a mix of Sub-Saharan African and European ancestry, usually from Portugal and Spain. Another celebrity of Cape Verde descent was Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes.
Amber’s paternal grandfather possibly was Francis/Frank Joseph Levonchuck (the son of Philip K. Leonchuk/Levonchuck and Pauline Tarnowski). Francis was born in Pennsylvania, to Polish parents.
Amber’s paternal grandmother possibly was Rose Spera (the daughter of Enrico Romeo/Roma Spera/Sperie and Rose Montone). Rose was born in Pennsylvania. Enrico was the son of Italian parents, John Spera/Sperie and Elizabeth. Rose was also the daughter of Italian parents, Joseph Montone/Montani and Susana Passwell/Pasquale/Dipasquale.
Amber’s maternal grandfather was Anthony J. “Sonny” Rose (who likely was the son of Theodore “Teddy” Rose and Lillian Santos). Anthony was born in Pennsylvania, to parents who were born on Brava, Cape Verde, and were black Cape Verdeans. Theodore was the son of Jose Rose and Josephine. Lillian was the daughter of Manuel Santos and Annie.

The only odd feature that some may perceive as black is her upper jaw and rounded forehead. But euros can have that too. Other than that I’m willing to bet her black African is 20 percent or less. Dare I say maybe even 10 percent.
Her skin is naturally pale and her real hair is like wavy at most. If she never abused the spray tanning and grew out her hair she’s look like a regular white American girl.
She may identity as mixed or black or whatever but take away the tan and she looks like a bald white girl and would not look out of place in Europe.
She looks more black than that its not just on features her overall aura is a black woman. She is like 1/4th 25 percent black and she looks it. You must not have been around too many black people. Black Africans have all different features anyhow.
@midori29 Yeah no, Amber looks like what she is. Mixed.
I think it should still say “likely Eastern European”. Both “Levonchuck” and “Tarnaske” sounds like versions of Slavic surnames.
She claims to have done that ancestry DNA test and that it came back as part Jewish. She didn’t post the exact results though.

If she has Eastern European ancestry it would’ve probably showed up on the DNA test (assuming she didn’t leave any group out in that post), so maybe her paternal grandfather was Jewish.
Anyway, I suggest adding “possibly other” to her father’s ethnicity.
I doubt her Jewish ancestry is that recent. She probably just got something like the usual 1% Ashkenazi Jewish that many people are tested as. “Levonchuk” isn’t a Jewish surname, either.
Perhaps there is something involving a step-grandparent or some such to explain why Rose never mentions Eastern European ancestry. Assuming she actually exists and wasn’t invented by this website.
why isn’t she tagged as Polynesian, Iraqi, Iranian etc?
My policy on tagging based on DNA tests is only to tag the African countries for people of black descent, since in almost all cases it is impossible to actually trace their ancestry to Africa, so a DNA test is just about the only way to determine their exact heritage.
When someone gets “1% Baltic” or “3% Iberian Peninsula” I tend to report the results but not tag it unless it’s been traced.
I seriously doubt Rose has even a relatively recent Kuwaiti ancestor.
What she said about that creole stuff in the bio, I can believe. When Cape Verdean people first came to the U.S., they wanted to be seen as White people(of course the U.S. didn’t agree). Some Of those different types of Creoles do have superiority issues(thinking they’re better than darker skin people even when sometimes they’re just as dark as the people they dislike). Even my paternal grandmother who was very light was like that(couldn’t stand darker skin blacks)

“I found out that my 10th Great Grandfather is James III, King of Scotland Stewart & My 10th Great Grandmother is Margaret of Denmark, Queen Consort of Scotland Oldenburg”
Amber is probably only 25-10% ssa given her mothers ancestry. Also Amber spray tans like crazy. I saw her young pics and her skin tone now looks like that bronzer stuff used during the Victoria secret fashion show. Anyways with the tan and I think her hairs naturally somewhere curly, she looks off white to me, but if she stopped with the spray tanning she would no doubt pass as “white” to many others.
I’d up the SSA range to about 35%
Agreed.
@alexgxo
you could be right, considering her parents and maternal grandfather look (who is alive):

@andrew no way looking like her she is only 10 percent African. She has an African physique and overall aura. At 10 percent she would look like a basic white woman and she does not
@Alexgro No way she is only 10 percent. No way. I agree with fuzzybear like 35 percent. I know mixed people alot of my family is mixed.
