Alex Karras was an American professional football player, wrestler, and actor.

He was the son of Emmeline Fiona (Wilson), a nurse, and George Louis Karras, a doctor. His father was born in Chios, Greece, and immigrated to Canada. His mother was born in Pugwash, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Alex was married to Canadian-born actress Susan Clark, until his death. He had a daughter with Susan, and five children with his former wife, Joan Jurgensen.

Alex’s maternal grandfather was Percival Stephen Wilson (the son of Alexander Augustus Wilson and Emmaline/Geraldine Pineo). Alexander was the son of William Donkin Black and Olivia Maria Freeman. Emmaline was the daughter of Henry Gesner Pineo and Harriet Sophia Seaman.

Alex’s maternal grandmother was Daisy Sophia Elliott (the daughter of Edgar A. Elliott and Cyrilla Clark). Edgar was the son of James A. Elliott and Sophia Black.
