Nia Jax is an Australian-born professional wrestler and model. She is known for her work in WWE on the Raw, Smackdown, and NXT brands, and as a cast member of reality show Total Divas. She has also wrestled under the names Zada and Lina.

Nia is the daughter of Renate and Joseph Fanene, an actor. Her father was born in New Zealand. Her mother is German. Nia grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii and San Diego, California.

Her father is a cousin of Samoan professional wrestler Peter Maivia, the adoptive step-grandfather of wrestler and actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
