Dan Friedkin is an American businessperson and film producer. He is the CEO of The Friedkin Group and its subsidiary Gulf States Toyota Distributors.

Dan is the son of Susan and Thomas H. Friedkin, who was an aviator, stuntman, and the founder of the family company. He is married to Debra, with whom he has four children.

Dan’s paternal grandfather was Kenny Friedkin (Kenneth Giles Friedkin, the son of Israel “Joel” Friedkin and C. Irene Hedden). Kenny was born in New York, and was an aviator and businessperson. Joel was Russian Jewish, and was an actor. Irene was the daughter of Frank Edward Hedden, who had Dutch and more distant French ancestry, and of Caroline “Carrie” Burr, who was of half Colonial American [English] and half German descent.

Dan’s paternal grandmother was Jean Rosemary Hoyt (the daughter of Benjamin Franklin Hoyt and Maud Roethinger). Jean was born in Wisconsin. Benjamin was the son of Frank Alexander Hoyt, who had Colonial American [English] ancestry, and of Hannah Susan Gilbert. Maud was the daughter of John Roethinger and Anna Barbary Haigis, who were German.

Dan’s maternal grandfather was Russell John Wille (the son of George Charles Wille and Helen Mildred Russell). Russell was born in New York. George Charles was the son of Henry Wille and Alice Juhre, both of German, including Prussian, descent. Helen was the daughter of George D. Russell, whose parents were Scottish, and of Lettie Clara Newell, who had English, and some Scottish and Welsh, ancestry.

Dan’s maternal grandmother was Harriet Marcella Mons (the daughter of Harry William Mons and Effie Marie Thompson). Harriet was born in Illinois. Harry was the son of Julius Frederick Mons, who was German, from Wólka, now in Poland, and of Rosa Rohrig, whose parents were German. Effie was the daughter of Albert Henry Thompson and Lestia Clementine Heilman, who were of Colonial American [English, and distant Scottish] and Pennsylvania Dutch [German] background, respectively.
