Sylvia Scheving is an Icelandic singer. She is the daughter of actor Magnús Scheving and executive producer Ragnheiður Melsteð. Her second cousins, once removed, are opera singer Diddú and singer and songwriter Paul Oscar.

Sylvia’s paternal grandfather is Eyjólfur Ægir Magnússon Scheving (the son of Magnús Jónsson Scheving and Sólveig Vilhjálmsdóttir). Sylvia’s great-grandfather Magnús was the son of Jón Scheving Hansson and Sigríður Magnúsdóttir. Sólveig was the daughter of Sigfús Vilhjálmur Einarsson and Kristín Jónsdóttir.

Sylvia’s paternal grandmother is Þórveig Hjartardóttir (the daughter of Hjörtur Guðjónsson and Guðrún Ragna Valgeirsdóttir). Hjörtur was the son of Guðjón Gíslason and Pálína Jónsdóttir. Guðrún was the daughter of Valgeir Friðrik Gunnar Bjarnason and Sólveig Sigríður Jónsdóttir.

Sylvia’s maternal grandfather was Pétur Þór Melsteð (the son of Gunnlaugur Bjarnason Melsteð and Helga Símonardóttir). Gunnlaugur was the son of Bjarni Jónsson Melsteð and Þórunn Guðmundsdóttir. Helga was the daughter of Símon Daníel Pjetursson and Jónína Guðrún Sveinsdóttir.

Sylvia’s maternal grandmother is Hanna Engilbertsdóttir (the daughter of Engilbert Hannesson and Ragnheiður Jóhannsdóttir). Engilbert was the son of Hannes Guðmundsson and Valgerður Magnúsdóttir. Ragnheiður was the daughter of Jóhann Sigurðsson and Ragnheiður Anna Helgadóttir.
